For K-12 Education
Nano 101 & 102 on-line
Fundamentals of Nanoscience I and II on-line courses are available to high school students for college credit. Two North Dakota students have already taken advantage of this opportunity to take a high-tech course while still in high school. So ‘Get into Nanoscience’ and find out how this tiny technology is making some big strides! Contact Margaret Wall for more information.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Outreach
In 2006, NDSCS received a $50,000 Career and Technical Education Grant to establish a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Outreach Program for North Dakota schools. The program is designed to increase the student’s general understanding and appreciation of nanoscience, career opportunities, and the impact it has in our daily lives. The outreach program has been a huge success with over 3,000 students from over 20 schools being reached in less than 6 months. We are working to get to all schools that have requested a visit, so look for a nanoscience session at a local school near you! For further information, please contact Dr. Kristi Jean.
