NDSCS receives more than $1.3 million in congressional fundingCongress has earmarked more than $1.3 million for two NDSCS Nanoscience and Emerging Technologies initiatives.

Senator Byron Dorgan, Senator Kent Conrad and Congressman Earl Pomeroy secured funding that provides $957,967 toward development of the NDSCS Center for Nanoscience Technology Training (CNTT) and $351,000 for the NDSCS Nanotechnology Applied Science Laboratory.  The appropriations are included in the Fiscal Year 2008 Consolidated Appropriations Act.

The funding approved by Congress is very timely and will be important as NDSCS further develops the CNTT and the Applied Science Laboratory.   NDSCS faculty, staff and students thank the congressional delegation for their efforts.
